Alterologists

General

Alterologists — also known as Pararelologists — is the name of the scholars who study the various Alternate Realities.

Origin

Most Alterologists are from Alézun'Teran — either having been born there or having found themselves there, possibly through a Doors of Somewhere. A rare few are from either one of the Nexus Realities or an Alternate Reality that these individuals are studying.

Practical or Theoretical Research

Most do their research from a theoretical standpoint, either in regards to the literary mediums from those Alterations that one can find at Avikhre, or more practically speaking by physically exploring them.

Accessing the Alterations

The latter form of research is incredibly rare primarily due to the difficulty of accessing them and exiting them. The more dangerous alternatives is to utilize the passages of either the Halls of Misyn or Bakk, and far too many lose their lives traversing them in search of an Alteration.
More uncertain means concern the Doors of Somewhere, but due to their irregular appearance it is not advised to use them.
The safest means of traversing Alternate Realities would be the use of a Cube of Cibur, an Artifacts of Power, though their rarity and value is enough for Alterologists to kill to get their hands on them.
