Defense Territory is where the Outer and Inner Defense Outposts are located and the land that stretches out between them. This is where smaller battles against the forces of Eärann Horde take place, something that has given it the name The Outer Battlefield. However, on the whole, it primarily acts as a very big reinforcement base, which is why some call it Reinforcement Land.

Geography

The Surface:

The geography of the Defense Territory varies widely since it stretches on for about 142 931 km². It covers a fourth of the Tanrensien Empire, begins at the grasslands and forested hills and ends in the snowy mountains. However, most of it is badlands, with an occasional swamp and lake.

The Subterranean:

It is underground where most of the activity happens. The thought process since the MGD began has more or less been; few buildings on the surface mean fewer run the risk of being destroyed. Many of the outposts interconnect with each other through underground roads and train tracks.

Fauna & Flora

Since the Mist Gate opened around a hundred years ago, the fauna in Defense Territory slowly began to decrease, much because of the constant battles that occur. But that doesn't mean they have disappeared completely, especially since protocol dictates that hunting is forbidden unless it is a matter of life and death, and even then it is looked upon with a frown.
