Church of Obrator
Obrator is a God of War. Obrator is typically depicted as a physically powerful man, though the specifics vary from culture and region. As a god of war, he has domain over battlefields but he is considered a patron of all sorts of physical struggle and triumphs.
Worship of Obrator can be found in most places where conflict can be found. There tends to be at least a small shrine to Obrator at most military bases, though it is not uncommon for different sports teams to at least pay the god some service. Some politicians are even known to regularly pay homage to the God.
The Church of Obrator has long stood dedicated to the ideals of the God of War. What was notable about their Church was not only did they have the regular priestly order that would oversee rights and maintain shrines and temples, they would also engage in training. Priests were encouraged to learn, and teach others, martial arts. It was not uncommon for warriors in the days of yore to spend at least some time honing their skills at the Church of Obrator. Some warriors even joined the Church as mercenaries, who would fight and die in different conflicts in the name of the God of War in the name of glory.
In modern times, as military conflict has become less favourable, the tone of this training has shifted. The conflict has gone from the battlefield to the sportsfield. The modern church is now involved in sports leagues of varying kinds.
