Men of Dorwinion

On the eastern borders of Rhovanion lies the lands of Dorwinion, often wrongly mistaken to be a part of Rhûn by the men of the west, Dorwinion is in fact a land of its own with many influences from the old Númenórean cultures that used to inhabit its lands before the coming of Sauron. Since the first age of Middle-Earth many men have wandered or settled in these lands, finding that natural calmness and beauty of the lands to be especially alluring.   In the years since then, these lands and its peoples have been the subject of many wars between the armies of Gondor and Rhûn, with the lands changing sides on a regular basis and the only real losers being the gentle folk that dwell there. These days it is said that the Men of Dorwinion are said to have fled from a disaster in the East that occurred following the downfall of Sauron. They are notably more friendly towards the men of the West than other Easterling tribes and even though many have had trade relations in the past with Dale and the Woodland Realm, the people of Dorwinion still live a life under the shadow of suppression and racism at the hands of their western cousins.   However the peoples of Dorwinion are skilled folk indeed and as such there are plenty of trade routes between the peoples here and the folk of the Dalelands. Fishing and fine wines are their greatest exports and it is rumoured that much of Thranduil's own wine collection claims it's origins within the lands of Dorwinion.
