Therold, Shield-Bearer
Therold, son of Theodemir, along with his twin sister Gailavira are the last descendants of the Balthi clan, the great clan house that originally settled Woodmen-Town within the Eaves of Mirkwood. A warrior by both trade and nature the townsfolk look to Therold for power and authority, while he is not the biggest or most brutish of the woodsmen's warriors, none doubt his cunning and tactical prowess for he is truly a son of the Balthi line.
Since the untimely death of his father and older brother at the hands of Great Wolves he now rules over Woodmen-Town along with his twin sister. While she prefers to mingle amongst the common folk, Therold is often found marching the town palisades or leading wolf hunts out into the deeper forest. Although he would not admit it easily, Therold fears that he will not live up to his inherited name and position, this can make him a very rash person, quick to react to insults and always preferring the most direct course of action.
