Cardolan Royal Infantry

Dagarim Cardolan Aran

The men at arms of Cardolan the Tergil who had followed the profession for generations, were considered the finest light infantry in all the Realms in Exile. In those days, there was also a Royal Navy (S, "Cair Aran"), though it could find few foes. Most of the ships were eventually sold, and a few still serve the Prince of Dol Amroth in Gondor. This was a better fate than that of Cardolan's soldiers. For a time Cardolan stood in the forefront of the resistance to the forces of the Witch-king. Now, conflict is a constant feature of life in Cardolan, but it is a war of pillaging villages, burning crops, and inconclusive sieges: war with little honor and no glory.   The Lords of Cardolan gather an army under the Irnil Prince Regent Araphor the Pious of the Cardolaní Vanguard, Prince-Captain Ëarnil The Reckless Paragon, and Prince-Captain Echerión Knight Errant, Lady Finduilas III and her preistes core, Pelendur Hirl of Tyrn Gorthad Restored 2200 Barrow Guard, Prince Valandil Defender of Tharbad, 1000 Malthoth “Golden-Helm” Rangers, Eratil Chamberlin of Tharbad 5000 Men-At-Arms, 1000 clerics and apothecaries, 3000 siege engineers and their (trebuchets, siege towers, and ballista), and 18,000 levies.
