Backstory

Leif Stoneheart was born into a family of gnomish historians and grew up surrounded by books and ancient artifacts. As a child, he was fascinated by stories of the universe's past and spent countless hours poring over old tomes and scrolls.
As he grew older, Leif became increasingly interested in the history of magic and its impact on the world. He began to specialize in this area of study, and eventually became one of the most respected historians in the field.
However, Leif had a dark secret. He was once a member of The Witches' Coven, a powerful organization of magic users. He had been convinced that the coven's leader was corrupt and needed to be overthrown, but his attempt to do so failed and he was banished from the coven as a result.
After his exile, Leif found refuge among The Archivist, a group dedicated to the preservation of knowledge and history. He quickly became a valued member of the organization, using his skills to help them uncover ancient secrets and lost knowledge.
Despite his success and his new life among The Archivist, Leif still lived in fear that his past would be discovered. He knew that if the coven ever found out where he was, he would be hunted down and punished for his crimes.
Leif resolved to keep his past a secret and to use his knowledge and skills to help The Archivist in any way he could. He believed that by dedicating himself to the preservation of knowledge and history, he could make amends for his past mistakes and redeem himself in the eyes of the universe.
