Backstory:

Thorne Darkleaf was born to an Orc father and a Human mother. Growing up, he never felt like he belonged to either race and struggled to find his place in the world. When he was a young man, Thorne was recruited by The Bloodthirsty to aid in a war on another island. At first, he believed that he was fighting for a just cause and was proud to be a part of the mercenary group. However, as time went on, Thorne began to realize the true nature of their actions. He saw innocent villagers being killed and their homes destroyed, and realized that he could no longer be a part of such a group. Thorne left The Bloodthirsty and spent years wandering the wilderness, searching for a new purpose in life. Eventually, he found his way to the Sylvan Glades and was taken in by The Guardians of the Glades. He found a new purpose in protecting the island and its inhabitants, and has since dedicated his life to preserving the natural balance of the island. Despite his success as a member of The Guardians of the Glades, Thorne still struggles with guilt and shame over his past, and fears that his dark secret will be discovered.
