Berserker of Odin

Should you choose the life of a berserker, you live the life of one hated and feared, while yourself fearing neither man nor fire nor steel.   Armed with only shield and weapon, you eschew the use of mail or plate. You have no need of it. You wade into battle nude, or wearing only a pants or bearskin or body paint. You bite your shield, claw at your own arms and legs, and tear into the ground with your feet as though you were a bull readying to charge. Your howls of fury and furor curdle the blood of your foes, sending them to flight as the spirit of the Valfather loosens your fetters and his magic turns your flesh to stone. The fear you elicit sustains you. Men, women, and children shudder at the mere sight of you. Verily, you are hated wherever you go, but men with coin and influence seek your service, and seek at all costs to avoid your ire. While others work to introduce the White Christ to the northern lands, you believe in the old gods, and you may even destroy the influence of the White Christ as you find it. Most berserkers worship Odin, earning approval through their displays of mettle and tenacity in battle. They take on greater and greater foes to prove themselves worthy of his blessing.
