Earnaness

A great battle once took place on the frozen lake Vänern, pitting Eadils, heir of the first king of Sweden, against an usurper - Onela. The legendary hero Beowulf is said to have fought here, and Beowulf’s bane, the Dragon, sprang from a mound at nearby Earnaness. Many amazing things were seen during the Final Battle – including dragons.
