Snake-Cultists

The Snake-cult is marked by melted flesh and exposed muscle, bone and tendon. Their survival is a mystery; wanting to circle Midgard alongside their idol but finding it impossible to live in the seas, the members instead spend their time in the muck of bogs and swamps. There they catch rodents and frogs with their mouths and poison outsiders with snake-rib daggers laced with their own corrupted blood. Their victims are drug to the ocean and thrown in in sacrifice to Jormungand, or else are brought home and laid undisturbed in their swampy homes, offerings to the local denizens. They wear tattered clothes made from shed snake skins and bark, and are often seen with vipers wrapped around their arms, legs, and necks. Many haunt the countryside near Ormskilde, poisoned as it be by the massive eels that so resemble the Serpent.
