Brok and Sindri

Brok and Sindri are twins and the first sons of Fafnir. They apprenticed under Volund who trained them to be mastersmiths. Brok's skin, through years of working directly in blazing forges, has extremely hard volcanic rock grafted to his skin granting superior protection. Sindri "lost" his arm while forging using the Bifrost and was replaced by an arm made of pure Bifrost energy. This grants Sindri the ability to naturally tap into the Bifrost. These dwarven duo of smiths were eager to make a name for themselves in the world and have created such relics such as Sif's hair made of pure gold, Freyr's sword Ingrid, Odin's spear Gungnir, the Draupnir ring, Heimdall's horn Gjallarhorn and ax Hofud. However the relic that would propel them into the fame they sought would be the hammer Mjölnir. The mighty hammer wielded by the god Thor was originally never even meant for him. Word made its way to Wotan that the dwarven smiths, Brok and Sindri, were making a mighty weapon for the giants out of star metal. So Loki came to the dwarves and told them that he could provide them a metal that when forged with star metal made it indestructible. The dwarves agreed and so Loki brought them a metal blacker than the night sky and the dwarves happily used it in the process of making the weapon. Little did they know this was a trick by Loki to sabotage the weapon. The metal he provided was from the heart of a dead star which is so dense that when the weapon was forged it was so impossibly heavy that not even the giants would be able to lift it. In fact the hammer is so heavy that no being has been known to lift it, besides Thor of coarse.
