Camazotz and Pazuzu

Camazotz and Pazuzu are dark gods of the night. Their children are monstrous bat like creatures not too different from vampires. Like vampires they are sensitive to the sun but share no other weaknesses. They are monstrous and act as a hive mind, but worst yet, those that survive one of their bites turn into a sick mockery of what they once were, eventually becoming one of the dark god's children themselves. Camazotz and Pazuzu demand nothing but strict obediance and blood sacrafice from their followers. The two gods hide beneath the sand, awaiting the day that they call the "Long Night" where they will rise again along with their children and lay waste to the South and the lands beyond. Before they were gods, they were lovers, lovers who Ascended together. They turned away from the sun and sought the power that was contained from the New Moon. When they touched that void of darkness they were transformed into the beings they are known to be today.
