Khepri

One of the first humans to settle in the Southlands, Khepri used to go by the name of Ikaros. A man of faith, order, peace, and justice; he sought to bring those ideals to the rest of the people of the Southlands. With wings of gold he flew to the sun, gazed upon its magnificent glory and dared to touch it. Upon contact he was transformed into the being we know today as Khepri. Khepri lives utop the sun as a massive scarab and pushes the sun along the sky without ever slowing down. He is the most mysterious of all the Ascended as he does not interact with any other god or mortal. In fact the only time he directly intervenes in any affair is when he choses a mortal to be granted the power of the sun, transforming them into a new diety among the Ascended. Prophecy says that he will one day raise an Ascended god known as Amun Ra who will lead the people of the Southlands into a new age of glory. 
Depiction. Khepri is depicted as a massive scarab whos exoskeleton resembles noble Nurian garb.
Worshippers. All the people of the Southlands worship Khepri as their prime deity, and even beyond the deserts of the south you can find worship for Khepri for he is the sun to many.
