Toweret
Taweret is the goddess of the households along the river, and the goddess of hippos. She protects her worshipers and their residences. Her milk is said to confer divine healing and rebirth in the afterlife. Her shrines are tiny and quiet, commonly marked by little more than a stone carved to resemble a hippopotamus. Before her ascention she is said to have been the greatest of a group of cleric sisters ( Ipet, Reret, and Hedjet). Though her sisters were one day slain by the evil serpent Apophis and in an act of divine perportions she was ascended by Khepri in that exact moment, driving back the beast into the sands it slithered out of.

Worshippers. Bargefolk, farmers, pregnant women, children, and families.
