SEASON 3: TO FIRETOPPEN MOUNTAIN
The date is 19th August
Brogi told us that we must not be in the open when the Blood Moon happens (it lasts 30 days). We must find the safety of a settlement.
In the darkest part of winter, when the sun descends into Helheim and does not reappear for 30 days, and the only light comes from the moon, that moon is known as the Blood Moon, and in its light creatures of the night crawl out of dark places in the north and feast on anyone caught out in the open.
The Blood Moon should start 15 days before the Winter Solstice (approx. 6th December) – and last for 15 days after (about 31st December).
It's a 6-month journey to
Firetoppen and back.

We set off on our epic quest to Firetop(pen) Mountain.

Reached
Beaver Falls where we were ambushed in the night by about a dozen
Trolls. They had made camp in the old cave system there.

Sellis turned into a
Giant Eagle and scouted from the air above us – impressive.
The date is 1st September
In the distance, a series of low bluffs rise out of the rolling tundra, they look like they’d be a place of refuge from the icy winds and their tops would be a great vantage point for looking out onto the plains. Great vultures can be seen circling, riding the updrafts created by the cliffs.
Getting closer to the bluffs reveals their walls are pitted with many shallow caves and the tumbled rocks at their base are strewn with animal bones.
The place was infested with
Giant Vultures and
Harpies. A huge battle ensued.
