Seeking your Fate in Costrana:
There's more than enough room for adventurers in the land of Costrana. From tomb raiders to task takers, adventurers from the shores of Valtana to the elven ruins of Leleathir can find their way here. But how do you play into it all?
Barbarians and Fighters:
Without a doubt, there is plenty of need for adventurers like this. Swordsmen and brutal warriors are always in great demand, especially since Azleveer started recruiting more soldiers for their military (I hear the pay is good too). Maybe you're a bounty hunter. Perhaps a simple tavern brawler. People of this type could be athletes, watchmen, or sailors. Really, they could be anything, but they more likely have a history with the sword and shield than others.
Bards:
There are plenty of places where entertainment is valued. But to be able to twist your abilities to wield magic is something else entirely. Valtana's King's Court employs a dozen bards. They've been used as soldiers in the past, but many seek a destiny separate from the main powers of Costrana. Often, bards are former politicians or (other jobs that require a silver tongue).
Monks:
Monks are found in several places around Costrana. Besides those that seek a fate of their own, there are the elves of Thae Aleeri who protect the Great Tree. There are several smaller sects of monks who protect sanctuaries around Costrana. There are some in the Bloodless Fields. I hear there is an order who protects the lost civilizations of the Blightslayers in the Northlands.
Paladins and Clerics:
Healers are in high demand everywhere. Be it a church, temple, or simply a military medic, Clerics are always in high demand. Some clerics chose not to heal and find work in other places. I've met plenty of fine men and women who displayed extraordinary ability. It was only later that I learned they were clerically trained. Paladins are often found in battle. They harness the power of whoever (or whatever) it is they worship to become formidable opponents. More often than not, Paladins are good leaders and allies.
Rogues, Druids and Rangers:
Rogues can fit in nearly everywhere. In Falduune, sabotage is rampant. A talented rogue can make a fortune there. In other areas, rogues delve into the many ruins and dungeons of Costrana that were left behind after the Blightslayers were killed off. Rangers and Druids of the wild have much to be excited about, as there are plenty of wilds to protect and explore. Urban rangers, more of the sellsword variety, find work for the Crusader's Quarry, the Guild Union, or Valtana on a regular basis.
Wizards, Warlocks and Sorcerers:
While strange to group these casters together, many seek the same destiny. Wizards seek knowledge to advance their arcane abilities, while sorcerers seek answers to their magical origin. Warlocks know too well where their power comes from and seek to deal with the circumstances of their pact. Either way, these individuals seek to grow their abilities. Wizards are often employed by the schools and academies. I know of one who joined with the Azleveer Reclamation, a group of militant archeologists who seek to take back artifacts that were stolen from their ancestors long ago. There is, of course, Tornala, the famed sorceress of the sea. She took the piracy route. Casters of this type can be anything from smugglers to scholars.
