Dwarves
Ironin, from the earth of his realm, formed his three sons: Durgin, Thergof and Korraf. He said to them, "Just as I was made to create, so shall you be made to create. Prove your skill to me, and I shall call you my sons." Together, his sons worked to create something that would prove their skill to Ironin. Durgin, from the earth, mined minerals, stone and ores. Thergof melted this metal and shaped it to form the base of a creature. Korraf took stone, and chiseled and built around the metal. They had created a well built and stout creature, with a long beard. It was not like an Elf. It was short, well built and covered in hair. They called it a Dwarf. Ironin saw this, and took pride in his sons. So the Dwarf was given a spirit and placed in the realm of Midstar during the early years of the Second Era, amongst the mountains of the west. The sons of Ironin created more Dwarves, some male, some female. The dwarves began to create their own language, known as Turvanik, because the Dwarves called themselves the Turvan. The language was not as elegant and beautiful as that of the Faen, and was very harsh and hard sounding. The first Dwarf was called Vurtauk, meaning "First One". The sons of Ironin then taught the Dwarves of mining, smithing and masonry. The Dwarves would then begin building a kingdom within the mines and caverns of the mountains.
