Gray Robed Wizards

Arcane spell casters who do not follow the tenets of the Order of the Magi are branded renegades. They don’t necessarily wear gray robes but all renegades are known as such since the Mage War long ago where a renegade wizard banded together with other free-spirited wizards and formed an order known as the Gray Robes to signify their neutrality of magic. The order was defeated and disbanded long ago and most of the wizards were killed or forced to join the order. Since then any renegade wizards have been referred to as gray robes.
