Watchers of the Coin

The Watchers of the Coin is a powerful merchants guild that operates throughout all Miferia.   Most merchants throughout the land are members of the guild and pay dues to them as they are a main supplier of goods and operate caravans all through Miferia.  The Watchers take merchant contracts very seriously and often serve as brokers of contracts between different parties to ensure everything is in accord and to ensure one side does not default on its contract to the other.  Defaulting on a contract signed over by the watchers has major penalties to the offending parties and they will often find themselves out of business if they have reneged on the deal.  The Watchers stay neutral in all political affairs and wars so they could be seen supplying both sides in a conflict as long as they can afford it.
