XT-489

The XT-489 Eliminator is comprised of hundreds of billions of drones that perform tasks, from construction to warfare. They appear to have a common design language inspired by avian motifs, and despite differences observed in different classes of drone, most appear to be a common type. The typical XT-489 drone is a large, bulky, mass-produced model, armed with a suite of power drills. Their visage is notable for its ability to strike fear into most organics, but it is unknown whether that is intentional or incidental. Non-combat drones are relatively unarmoured, and most drones operate on a battery pack. Software updates are applied via physical interface, either through maintenance drones or at a storage depot. Larger 'warbots' are specifically created for military conflicts and come in various forms, from tracked tank-like entities, to gigantic 'mega-warforms'.
