Starlight Service Plaza

Starlight Service Plaza, located along Interstate 95, is a large truck stop offering extensive facilities to travelers and truckers. Spanning 70,000 square feet, the plaza includes a range of amenities designed to accommodate long-haul truck drivers and other visitors. It features 22 showers, 50 bathroom stalls, 2 family restrooms, and a laundry room equipped with 8 washers and 8 dryers. Additionally, the plaza provides a repair garage, a truck wash, and a gas station with 80 pumps, making it a comprehensive stop for both vehicle maintenance and personal needs.   Following the outbreak of Necrocephalitis, a devastating zombie disease, Starlight Service Plaza was repurposed by Oskar Krause as a central refuge. Krause, alongside his partner Kasper Mannes and his friends, including Milo Hayes and Evren Ritter, among others, established the truck stop as a critical base for survival amidst the chaos. The facility's extensive space and resources proved invaluable in the effort to create a safe haven. As the situation evolved, the settlement expanded, with Milo Hayes emerging as the de-facto leader of the group. The plaza has since become a crucial hub for survivors, providing not only a secure location but also a symbol of resilience and community in the face of the ongoing outbreak.   The plaza's strategic location and ample resources allowed for the establishment of a makeshift community center, where survivors could coordinate efforts, share information, and distribute essential supplies. Over time, Starlight Service Plaza evolved from a simple truck stop into a fortified settlement, playing a pivotal role in the survival and organization of the remaining population amidst the ongoing crisis.
