Animites

The Animites are a section of the Shaf Threen  community opposed to 'artificial' mining and extraction of minerals from the Deep. They believe that rocks and minerals that have naturally fallen/collapsed are the only ones that should be used.
In 115, stirred up by goblin Grump's plan to wall their enclave off from the rest of the city, a revolt/riot of the Animites tried to both seize power and destroy the 'heresies' of the mining quarter. A memorial to this revolt and the lives lost is found in the mining quarter.
In 117 the mysterious symbols were discovered near the Animites' settlement.
