Aasimar
Aasimar are a race of planar touched humanoids, specifically touched by the upper planes. The transformation can happen to any race but primarily to humans as they are more adaptable as a race. The blessing of the upper planes can happen in a variety of ways. Sometimes it is from having a Saint as an ancestor, being exposed to divine energy when young, or having a parent exposed to divine energy. Most Aasimar are born from a human or Aasimar parent, but some are born of demi-gods - a half-celestial. The vast majority of Aasimar are epitomes of angelic beauty, however, some are terrifying in their otherworldly-ness.
Most Aasimar do not have an association with any one particular deity. Some families are dedicated to certain deities whom they have served for generations.

Common Myths and Legends
Many believe that Aasimar are all naturally good and kind. However, just like the angels can be wrathful to those that go against their ideals so can Aasimar...and just like there are evil gods there are fallen Aasimar.
