Cri Neopeth
The Cri have been the rulers of this land for millennia their grasp is so absolute that their land is their name - Radan Cri, the land of Cri. No one knows what he looks like for any public appearances are always made behind a veiled palanquin and he is always wearing a mask. This distance from his people makes sense, however, as they view him as a god-king. What kind of mortal would ever be able to look upon a god and live?
The godhood of the Cri is passed down to the heir once the current Cri finds it suitable but usually around 50 years; after 100 years, the power of the Cri burns out a mortal body forcing a transition of power. Cri Neopeth ruled for around 200 years after falling in love with vampire, Amila, and making her his first queen. To live with his love forever, Neopeth undertook the task of becoming a true divine by absorbing the power of the daughter of Minrath in the Rainbow Dunes, Almatara. His plans were stopped by a group of outsider adventurers led by a Sand Elf acrobat known as Rayan Adeni guided by Cri Sepheres, the first Cri. These adventurers' actions killed Cri Neopeth and through the threat of force, they drove out Amila and the Crown Prince to install their own Cri - a street urchin known as Titi .
