Lord Lyrebird

Lord Lyrebird is a master of mimicry and illusions. A member of the Court of Feathers (aka Court of Birds) 300 years ago, he tricked his brother, the Prince of Peacocks, into his bird form and trapped him on the Feywild portion of Tra Bril. He gave the Prince of Peacocks to a coven of hags to maintain and keep watch over in exchange for sending victims to the hags every so often. Lyrebird then assumed his brother's position in the court of birds using mortal proxies to interact with other Archfey.   One day Lyrebird came across a group of adventurers lost in the Feywild and made a deal with them to give them a way out. If they dealt with the hags, he would send them out of the Feywild; but if they failed, instead of being killed, they could teleport back but be in servitude to Lyrebird. Lyrebird knew they would fail with the hags, however. He wanted them as his servants. Three of the four mortals returned now trapped into fealty to Lyrebird - or, as they knew him, the Prince of Peacocks. Years passed and one of the mortals grew tired of his service, he wanted to escape. Valen Armanammer, a halfling rogue, bartered away his skills, talent, and right arm for this chance to escape; he had intended to bring his comrades with him but his language was not clear - he never said when they would also be released from Lyrebird's service.    It was releasing Valen that would bring about Lyrebird's downfall. As the halfling returned after 40 mortal years to exact his revenge with a new group of allies and new skills. This party - the Wonder Seekers - killed the hags, freed the true Prince of Peacocks, and defeated Lord Lyrebird in battle. Lord Lyrebird is now trapped in his bird form and under the watchful eye of the Prince of Peacocks.
