Abandoned castle of Inositol

the Abandoned castle of Inositol is the ruins of a castle in the Dercian region constructed by forces from Pearlhal during the First unification war when some of its forces had moved into one of the neighbouring kingdoms when the war moved into another stage of its constant escalating state.
The castle was constructed sometime in the second century and was first consisting of a dirt wall but was soon upgraded to include a palisade as well when it became clear that the forces had to be in the area for longer.  
At some point during its lifespan, the castle was upgraded to a more permanent place when its walls were replaced with stonewalls.
As more and more kingdoms and city-states fell to the advancing forces of Pearlhal and the conquered areas became incorporated and settled with Crienia, the need for the castle slowly disappeared and it was soon abandoned and left to ruin.
Over time the castle would get many inhabitants, ranging from common bandits to monsters that would terrify the local population and make them demand that the local lord teared down the castle.
It's not known when the castle got its newest inhabitants but at some point, a group of goblins settled in the abandoned castle and began to raid nearby villages.

Purpose / Function

Its first purpose was to serve as a temporary place for the forces of Pearlhal to settle for some time but it soon grew into a more permanent fortification.

Alterations

Over time its walls got extended and upgraded from dirt to stone walls.
