Cosius

Cosius is a harbour town that, back in time, was known for its massive docks used to construct warships for the Ancient Empire , but today, most of the docks have fallen into ruin or have over time been filled with waste and paved over, being forgotten to time.
Back in time, Cosius could bolster itself because it had the most extensive docks in the Ancient Empire and could build the most powerful warships in quality that the other harbour cities could compete with.
But with the empire's fall, the need for the docks also fell, and Cosius could not maintain its previous level. With the realm gone, the town lost its primary income and, over time, fell into ruin, with more and more people leaving to seek their fortune in another place, leaving the buildings in the town to fall into disrepair.
The town did get some renewal when it was conquered by the Principality of Clifia as the new state needed to bolster its naval forces. Still, it never achieved the same level of power as the ancient empire had needed.
By the time the town was incorporated into the principality, it had been able to maintain two of the original docks, and they were put to good use by the new owners, but during the The war of Western expansion a raiding party lead by Eliose Redstream raided the town and destroyed one of the docks, leaving it in such a state that the town was unable to repair it for the rest of the war, only finishing the repairs 10 years after the war.

Cosius is a walled town, but the walls have not been maintained for ages and have been allowed to crumble to a state where in case of a siege, the walls would be more of a hindrance for the defenders than for the attackers.
