Kalvinus Cinna

Kalvinus Cinna grew up and had a normal childhood while being relatively poor he rarely went hungry and from an early age started to help his father fish but as he grew older he found out that the life of a fisherman wasn't something for him so he decided that he would travel around the empire and after a few years decided to join the army as it as a stable job and if he could prove himself it might be a step to a better life so he started as a normal soldier in the Dercian legions when soon after his training was complete his cohort got assigned to clean out a holdout of rogue sorcerers that would change his life forever.
Attacking the holdout, Kalvinus Cinna and the men around him would become the target of an unknown spell that had an unknown effect on Kalvinus. It would allow him to blend into the darkness and become almost invisible in dim lighting. It took some time between the attack and Kalvinus discovering his newfound abilities, and he first found out about it after he had been kicked out of the army due to hitting a superior officer.
When he learned about his new abilities, Kalvinus Cinna embraced them and began a life in the shadows dressed in a cloak that seemed to enhance his abilities.
At some point, he stole a dagger that had been imbued with ancient text that enhanced its sharpness, and with the knife, Kalvinus Cinna soon enough became the stuff of legends, earning the reputation of a deadly assassin that, despite the deadly occupation, operates under a code that, he will only accept jobs on people in a position of power. Not much is really known about Kalvinus Cinna as only a few people know about his identity and those that meet him rarely survives to tell about it.
As his reputation grew, so did the power of those that hired him, and it didn't take long for him to be contacted by the House of Glicia-Hadrianus to clean out a few of their political rivals. Accepting these jobs brought Kalvinus Cinna great fortune and brought him into the searchlight of those that hunted the shadow assassin.
