Kara's Vale
Kara's Vale is a small hamlet located near a small river and is one of the thousands of small villages in the Empire of Dercia
The hamlet is located in the southwestern corner of Dercia and is the most eastern of the halfling settlements in the area generally seen as halfling territory where most of the empires halfling population live.
While a small hamlet, the hamlet is known among the nearby human settlements for its high-quality Brussel Sprouts.
Demographics
The primary Race living in Kara's Vale are Halflings but it's possible to find a human or two living in or near the hamlet as well
Government
When the inhabitants of Kara's Vale need a ruling on something, they will gather the leading figures of the hamlet for a council where the topic will be discussed.
Infrastructure
The roads leading to and from Kara's Vale consists mainly of dirt roads but entering the hamlet the roads have been covered in stone in an effort to limit the dust and mud from the otherwise uncovered road.

Kara's Vale have one Woodcutter´s camp that is employing 5 of the inhabitants
in the centre of the hamlet is also a general store selling what the inhabitants need for their daily life.
History
The history of the settlement that the elders tell the kids is that when the halflings land were being incorporated into the empire a few refugees fleeing from the war settled down in the area and over time it grew into a small hamlet.
Architecture
The building style for Kara's Vale is done with timber and a foundation consisting of rocks gathered from the surrounding fields. While the cleanliness of the hamlet is rather filthy and crumbling the inhabitants take pride in having their houses aesthetics being ornate.

If it's a halfling area, does that make it a halflet? *Gets tarred+feathered by angry locals* That small island looks like the youths will be up to no good during summer nights there. Another question about the map: that's a lot of buildings, do a lot of people live by themselves, are they storage areas / barns, or are a bunch of them abandoned?

I imagine some of them are used as storage/barns, along with a number of them being abandoned due to reasons like the resident's old age or just the building not being safe to live in anymore due to the crumbling state of the hamlet
