Praetorius

The title of Praetorius is a title that is given to individuals who exhibit exceptional leadership, wisdom and diplomacy. People who are given this title are then tasked with managing the affairs and relations between the Empire of Dercia territories and the different enclaves, like those of the Moon elves., it has for the longest time been seen as a prestigious title and one that carries quite a lot of power and those who wish to become diplomates on a state level strive to get the Praetorius title. The Praetorius came about as what was at the time the Kingdom of Dercia came into contact with more and more enclaves of elves, the need to maintain good relations rose and the title of Praetorius was created and their responsibilities included fostering alliances, resolving disputes and ensuring that the harmony between the enclaves and the urban centres. One of the most prominent people to hold the title were Sirion Vaelaris, he was renowned for his extraordinary diplomatic finesse and unwavering commitment to maintaining the peace of the enclave he had been assigned to, the Silvan enclave, a large Moon elf enclave located in the Silvan forest. Despite the title of Praetorius only being given for five years at the time, Sirion kept being reassigned the title so he could continue the great work he was doing between what is now the Empire of Dercia and the Silvan enclave. When he retired after several decades, he chose to settle in the Silvan enclave where he married a moon elf that he had been working alongside with for the past decades.
