The Louve

The Louve is a subspecies of the normal wolves that will grow to the size of a horse and a pack can lay waste to entire herds of farm animals.   What made the Louve that more monstrous compared to regular wolves was that the Louve wolf seemed to be an expert in ambush attacks and if such attacks failed they were quickly able to go for the flanks of the prey in question to gain any advantage they could and with a mouth full of razor-sharp teeth they could deliver a killing bite. Their teeth were not the only weapon they had at their disposal, a tactic that has been observed a few times by lucky survivors is that the Louve would make their prey, if it was larger than their regular targets, stop moving and would then come running towards the prey, with their weight and speed combined, try and tackle the prey to the ground where it could be killed.
