Tirian

The Tirian guild is a guild consisting of scholars and teachers that travel around the Empire of Dercia and set up schools for the village children, the amount of time they are in each village varies a lot, some are only in the villages for a year before moving on, others will settle down in the village and continue teaching.
The scholars and teachers who travel around are typically the newly educated from the academies who then decide to travel the empire to gain experience in the field, although from time to time there are older already established scholars who decide that it is time for them to travel around the Empire for some time, typically its when they have reached a dead end in their works or they have academic burnout.
The guild is generally self-founded with the members with their annual membership fee, It is priced so that every member can afford the fee, the fee is around one crown for each member for a yearly membership.
The guild besides the fees also receives an annual grant from the Royal Palace of Dercia as part of the royal grant to better the life of the common people, a grant that was set up by Emperor Malthin II when he became Emperor and after winning The Decade of 5 Emperors were he founded several grants ranging from education to the rebuilding of villages and similar.
The name Tirian comes from the character in an old book, the chracter discus with another character about the need for education and its a must read for any scholars at the Dercian academies.
