Vizima

Vizima is a small but relatively important village located where the Weslefair river and Bleakwath river meet. The village uses those rivers to transport trees down to the village from further inland, the trees are cleared of any branches and that top part is cut of whereafter the trees are simply pushed into the river and the flow of the water will take them down to Wizima to be processed. 
The village is one of the biggest producers of processed timber and plays an important role in supplying the rest of the empire with some of the highest quality of wood.

Demographics

The part of the population of the town that is permanent living there is mostly made out of elves and humans but every summer season workers in form of dwarves can be found among the population.

Government

Vizima is ruled by a small council, lead by the oldest person in town.

Defences

The town has made a palisade around the town, it is a rather new structure though, it came about after an increase in night attacks from wolves or some of the worse monsters that call the forest at night their home.

Industry & Trade

Vizima controls a major part of the northwestern part of the empire's lumber production, so major export is wood products, it can be in the form of boards, planks, or lumber that have just been cleaned ready to be made into things other places.
As a means to not run out of good timber to cut, the town has a special corps of druids who are able to regrow the trees at a faster rate than they would have don't naturally, that way the town is able to limit the impact on the surrounding forests.

The town has several sawmills and storage places for the lumber.

History

The town has been there all the time and has for as long as any can remember been a lumber town, but it really grew into importance when it became a part of the Empire of Dercia because the empire had a great need for good quality timber and Wizima could provide it in the needed amount

With wood being easy to get, the houses are constructed out of local wood and are usually constructed functionally.

Vizima is located in a forested area of the empire and being located where a 2 rivers meet, have made the town into a major production center for wood production.
