Goblins in the Streets! 4717-12-1

General Summary

Die, Dog, Die! / WALL SIEGE

Near Sandpoint's north gate, just east of the White Deer Inn, a goblin commando mounted on a goblin dog has bravely attacked a noble and his hunting dog. The man in question is named [ALDERN FOXGLOVE]. Aldern cowers behind a rain barrel where he calls for help, while his dog fights against the commando. The party arrives on the scene, just in time to see the goblin commando kill the dog with his horsechopper. The dog crashed dying to the ground and the commando's goblin kin (who were themselves cowering nearby as the dog was handled) threw up a cheer and emerge from hiding. The goblins still distracted by their kill, turn their attention to Foxglove, the party seized the opportunity to attack with surprise.      With the goblins dealt with, Aldern thanked the party profusely. He focuses his attentions on Koa, complimenting her on her skills in the fight and on her beauty.  As he glances about nervously for more goblins, he informs the party that he’ll be in town for a few more days; he’s staying at [[the Rusty Dragon]] to the south, and when they get a chance, he’d love to talk with them more and perhaps reward them properly for saving his life.
    [/quote]       AIRBORNE ASSAULT

[quote]As the party returned from the saving Aldern Foxglove and barring the gate, they could hear high pitched screaming coming from overhead and you feel a strange rumbling at your feet. Looking up into the sky  coming in the direction of the harbor you witness the source of the screaming,  small goblin sized projectiles briefly screaming and then crashing into the buildings in the surrounding areas of the town.  Occasionally a small sphere appears quickly inflates and the goblin floats slowly to the ground aiming his short bow at the fleeing citizens.     The goblins were wearing packs that helped them to float down from the sky the packs were not reliable as they could be to the towns benefit.  The party confronts the airborne threats and aide the citizens to escape.  During the fight the party deduced that the goblins had been sent from the the towns harbor.
          LANDING RAID

The harbor has become a scene of chaos in its center two ramshackle Keelboats are exchanging arrow fire with two town guards as they hastily attempt to get an outdated Ballista in place. A rowboat has docked and its three goblin passengers have just disembarked, while another is just launching from one of the keelboats to begin its trek over to the dock. On each of the keelboats stands an ogre with an apparatus that seems to be the cause of the goblins assaulting the town from the sky. Tired from the day's battles the party gave aid to members of the town guard who were attempting to repel the invaders, in the end, they were able to stop the goblin's invasion by sea.
    Underground INVADERS

Moving quickly through the town checking on citizens as they pass when they suddenly felt the ground tremble suddenly. A fissure in the earth is torn open where none was a second before. Moving out of the way as a large rocky protrusion lunges straight up out of the ground under you. With cobblestones, rocks, clots of dirt, and shrubs flying in all directions, it flung the party into the air. For what seems like a minute to you everything stops. Then, only a matter of seconds later, a monstrosity of metal and steam emerges from the hole blown from the ground.       The fight with the metal worm seemed to go on forever the party is aided by two civilians from the town, [[Daverin Hosk]] and [[Jodar Provolost]] with thier help the party was able to destroy the metal worm, ending it in a large blast that shook the town.
