Flaik and Koa investigate the 14 boxes in the back.
Haderai and Ali head the cart towards the gate and attempt to find ways to kill time. Rita steals Flaik’s map.
Flaik finds a staff of the sea (it smells briny). Koa finds a gem and immediately pockets it.
We redirect to the main gate of Naos. Haderai jumps out and attempts to act to “fix” the wheel giving us 20 minutes.
Koa finds a golden brown potion, tastes it a bit and finds it to be honey mead.
Koa finds a clear luminescent liquid, gives it to Flaik.
We find a full set of leather armor, but the armor seems to be interspersed with iron-looking wood slats? Underneath is another crate with the body of Selanar. Once opened it stuns everybody and we hear metal footprints coming towards us. Flaik and Haderai and Rita are all dragged out just in time for the guards to arrive.
We get carried to the Lowcleft barracks. Haderai spends most of his time upside down looking at a guy with 5 buttons on his left rear pants side, and 6 on his right. He vows to remember this guard. After 45 minutes the lights flicker and then go out.
Monocled guy comes in, says “You know, we gave her a deal; we said if she just lead us to you all, things could have gone very differently. But… It appears that things went well, regardless.” “When all of this is said and done, we will have the saber and I will have all of you”.
Koa: “You don’t have the saber yet?”
M.G.: “That isn’t what I meant; We already have the saber. This has been a very good trip”
M.G. snaps his fingers and the wounded guy comes in from the exit, sets a footstool in front of Koa and Ali. (wounded guy was the guy who escaped from the rooftop)
When all of this is said and done we will be at Akarot’s feet, and we will have godlings as slaves.
ali: We will never be your slaves
M.G.: That’s what all slaves say. (gets up). We will be seeing you soon.
Koa: Can you drop the charges or is that part of your grand scheme
mg: Between you and ..“rita”.. you two would have been very good agents to have
2 Guards come rushing in, and they seem assaulted and nervous, look around and try and figure out who got by.
Koa talks to the guards, asks them to send a message to the Matron. “If you tell us where the Matron lives, we have worked out a deal with your guild to let you go”.
Koa says: I’m pretty sure it was down by the docks in one of the bars. I don’t remember the bar. “The scarlet cup”? Something with cup in it?
Guard: We are shielding this room, and put a sensor above the door to watch you all. This will be the last time I’ll be back in this room. He promises to bring food and water for us.
We become unfrozen, and start discussing our strategy. Ali tries her magic weapon and it works.
Maybe now its honesty hour says Haderai.
Flaik shares his power information with the group. Rita says nothing. Haderai and Ali share their divine information. Koa too. Rita mentions her affiliation with the gang but is fairly sure that they don’t have the sword yet.
We recollect an imp singing in the Rahm Kala singing about seven things, Children having the keys to their parents’ tomb. Ali recollects children seeking keys, warnings twice given over the span of time, that this was tied to six occera. Ali knows that you are “one of six”. None of the other six are party members. Ali and Rita confirm that when the Occera return to this world, it would also be tied to beings that would “torment the tormenters”. The very next line references the fact that their original purpose will be twisted but it won’t be broken. The last couple of lines say that “there will be a small number at first walking a path that was hidden from their jailors. They bring with them the rebirth of ancient days.. (trails off)”
This is called the prophecy of the hidden path.
We ask for a lawyer, they say the Guild is taking care of it. Then they offer to give a book of the laws of the nine.
Guildmistress comes in, we tell her about the Arkulyte Order attacking us. Rita explains: They are trying to come into possession of various items. I was ordered to come assist with a thing, and it went badly. “The saber that your guild members are trying to procure was meant to be moved tomorrow, but due to the fight yesterday who knows what happened.”
Any attempt to hide information will not be tolerated – stares at Rita.
“As I understand your situation, a person entered your cell and informed you that they were tracking your location, seeking the items you were seeking, and from what people were able to tell from fleeing the scene last night, they seemed to have ways of detecting you. From everything that I know about the prophecy, there are 7 items. We can assume they have the sword, so now our goal is to get the remaining 5-6 items”.
“Depending on how the magic of the items are constructed, it might be possible for someone to research, over years, a way to artificially break the seal if they are missing one of the items. Assuming they don’t have all of them, we can put the Guild hall on a constant cycle of research to figure out where they are. We can attempt to suss out the location of the last item, and as long as Rita’s former compatriots don’t know its location or have been unable to find out how to access it, we can possibly be one step ahead of them. You clearly need our help”
“So, we will have an audience with the nine, and acquire special dispensation on their behalf to operate outside of the Adventuring Guild’s limitation. My suggestion is that if there are any Meltis believers amongst the Nine, you might want to not mention anything about the return of the Gods”.
And with that we exit for the airship.
