Journal Entry #6 - The Journal of Flaik Fortearan 4717-12-12

General Summary

Rita and Ali went to get some food. They ordered steaks. The gnomish proprietor pulled a lever and cogs started working, and then poured drinks for the both of them. Ali drank hers and tasted birthday cake. Rita drank hers and was feeling toasty and relaxed. Flaik was called a modron. Not sure what that means. Zusuberk (the chef) was watching the Guildmistress’s hotel room. Flaik replaces him, who wanted to talk to Ali. Zusuberk has some scarring around his wrists. Flaik sits down and prepares to protect the Guildmistress’s room.
Preacher of Nature and Life domain are arguing on the stage of the Old Pilgrim Inn. Then a Preacher of Death pushes them off of the stage and goes into “Thousands of years ago, a drow wizard came, who preached the benefits of death. Although he was a wizard, he was the first death cleric. When our parishioners come for their last rites, we bury them in their chosen spot, and they pay for that benefit.” Haderai and the Elf who runs the inn have a good discussion about the forest of Lorewyn, then they agree to get a room for the six of us. He then incants a “revelation” derivative spell, and then a mage’s circle appears.
Then the Guild Mistress opens the door, says “You guys are all on a public channel, also make sure there’s a room for me. Flaik, we’re leaving”.
Hearing the Guild Mistress is staying, the innkeeper activates the “luxury” suite. For visiting guild members. Haderai calls the Guild Mistress, who starts to intervene with the innkeep. She negotiates a deal with the innkeep, Haderai pays for the room (50gp).
Back in the Gnomish Bar, the Gnome records the descriptions of the drink. Yexim the Gnome. He also tries to figure out what kind of people Ali was, since she wasn’t a Genasi. Rita orders another drink, and wants to know if it’s reheatable. Rita orders a bottle to go.
Haderai starts some cult with the nature and life clerics. Flaik and Guildmistress Arunsun arrive, and they order a round. Avernus and the Ministry of Indoctrination lie ahead for Haderai. Avernus is “west from here, a few miles.”
