Elva (El-vah)

Basic Information

Anatomy

The tallest kind of kin-soul in Miria on an average of from five foot, seven inches to six feet tall for females. For males they range from five foot, eight inches to six foot, six inches tall. Their ears have a slight, natural point. Their hair is coarse and like to keep their it short. The longest a female is known to have her hair is just below the shoulder blades. For males that have beards they keep them short and have a clean appearance. Their eyes vary in coral colours of the sea. Living on the sea make them great swimmers and their skeletal structure makes them adept in water.

Biological Traits

What sets the Elva apart from others are their varying colourful eyes of the sea. If their hair isn't hiding their tear-drop ears, this would be a second giveaway. The third would be their coarse hair.

Dietary Needs and Habits

Before their land disappears into the depths of the sea and their homes become afloat, they gather salt from their land and this is how they preserve their food atop the sea.

Social Structure

Both men and women, when become of age, learn to fight with either spear or bow. Usually women will fight with bow and arrow and men use spears to fight or hunt with. However, there is no defining weapon which is better, but rather how talented the weilder is with the chosen weapon. When on land the women will do most of the hunting as most use the bow and arrow or crossbow.

Known to be a merry people, even to outsiders who do not pose a threat to them. Give them some ale and they will throw a party. They work hard and equally play hard which can work against them as a flaw.

Facial characteristics

Skin complextion is ranges from fair to tanned, but mostly tanned as they are at sea for the most part of their lives. Their complexion is also very well hydrated being close to the water and eating its fruit of the sea.

Perception and Sensory Capabilities

Having an affinitey with water, the Elva have a unique perception to see shadows in the water's surface more clearly than others.
