Children of the Sun in the ever Faeding Vales

Basic Information

Anatomy

They have a golden glow in their skin and are born with transparent wings that don't make a sound. Their hair is a dominant colour of blonde to a golden brown and their eyes are quite distictive from light brown to brown, sprinkled with gold if you look close enough. Fae vary in height, but their average is five feet and eleven inches for males, and for females five feet and six inches. They look just like a human, just with a few differences in appearance. It is said that their skelital physiology is lighter than a human's, so that they are able to move swiftly in the air. However, there is not a difinitive agreement on that research.

Biological Traits

The most noticible trait are their wings. Though they are transparent, you can still see unique patterns and colours. Second to this would be their slight golden glow from their skin. The closer they are to the sun, the stronger the glow.

Growth Rate & Stages

There are many arguments and debates about how long a Fae lives. There isn't an absolute answer to this as they seem to live and die just like anyone else in the world, and yet there are others that swear by their continent that allows them to live longer lives than the world below them.

Ecology and Habitats

Typically Fae can survive in the world below them, but is not the best place for them in the long run. Fae are a free bird kind of people, and need to stretch out their wings freely from time to time. Fae do not typically stay in one place for long and travel all over the Faeding Vales, as the entire continent is their home by nature.

Dietary Needs and Habits

Due to their physiology, they can't handle meat well. They can eat it, but a lot could seriously harm them. If and when they eat meat, their hunger decreases dramatically and won't feel hungry until the following day. Most of their nutrients come from fruit, greens and grains.

Biological Cycle

The Fae's home consists of all four seasons simotaniously, but in separate floating islands. Traveling constantly gives them a resistance to summer - winter temperatures. If for some reason they are unable to travel, or go out of their natural habitat, it will take them longer to recover from changing temperatures.

Social Structure

Being relatively free in living, they are also social butterflies among their own kind. They tend to be unwelcoming to those who are outside of their lands.

Perception and Sensory Capabilities

Fae are able to replenish Spirit Magic at a faster rate, but this is only due to their closeness with the sun and moon.

Interspecies Relations and Assumptions

Most frown upon marriage to an outsider, or the wingless ones, as they put it. History reveals that being coupled to a wingless one means that the child may very well be born without wings - and to the majority that is sacrilege.
