Hymns of Healing

It has been rumoured in every part of Miria a voice blossoms and nurtures those around them with their song. Those that listen are enamoured by the sound of a melodic language. How do you respond to that Songstress of Roaenia? Faeila: "That doesn't sound like me, at least. My songs are to help those who have ailments they cannot get rid of themselves. The rumours seem to be just that. Rumours and nothing more." What kind of ailments? Can't they just go see a doctor? Faeila: "Not for this kind. It's an ailment of the heart, head or spirit. Sometimes all of them." Ah, but I have heard of people being healed physically by your songs. What about that boy... oh what was his name...? Faeila: "Roland. Yes, he did heal from his scrapped knee as he heard me sing to another, whom was my appointment to see." Your appointment, is that how all Songstress' work? Faeila: "I'm sorry, sir, but I only know of Roaenia. I can't speak for all the Songtress' in Miria." Ha, ha! Right, but why is that? Why can't you, say, visit our husband-land, Rathenia? Faeila:.... "My duties are to this country only. There is no need for a Songstress to travel afar when there are others to serve their homeland." ....That...sounds rehearsed... Ahem! That sounds rather lonely. Don't you feel alone? Faeila: Her eyes fell to the marbled floor. She so badly wants to shout, Yes! All the time! Yet nobody bats an eye, literally! Too awestruck to recognize a prisoner when you see one!But alas... the King and Dolion Raliszel have been good to her. She lifts up her chin and smiles at the interviewer. "How can I be? I'm surrounded by the King and his Guarden Keepers as well as the Krystal Knights when I am not singing. When I am at work the people encircle me. I have nothing but happiness and joy all around me." She happily shrugged, showing off the same wonderful coral smile and pearl white teeth.Picture perfect. That is exactly the interviewer's thought. The Songstress Interview by the Whispering Wind
Perception
History
As long and far back into history Songstress' have always been women, or so firmly believed. However, there is a slight falsity in that superficial notion as there have been one specific man written about from the Elden Days called Dani. He was a young, Fae minstrel prodigy in his day and his songs have progressed long into our day, among those who believe in the Bright One. It is written that he could also interpret dreams for others, laying waste to other interpreters who turned out to be in-genuine and untrue.
Through the years more and more women have become beacons to society, whether that is through entertainment or healing. True Songstress are those who give back to the people instead of draining them dry.
