Ildei Serren Tsamin

Declaration Against the Gods

Overview

The Ildei Serren Tsamin, or declaration against the gods, was an important document that inspired a massice series of revolts throughout Nirann. The document was written in Ornemere, signed by over 100 nobility who renounced their status as nobles; the signing was seen as the official start of the massive revolts against the kingdoms of Nirann.

Contents

The text of the Ildei Serren Tsamin goes as follows:
"It is most evident that the emperors and kings of this world have no mandate from the heavens; suffering plagues the common man while the rulers sit relishing in their wealth and power. These sources of suffering, plague, blight, war, and famine, are all permitted to occur due to heaven's dissatisfaction with the malevolent governance of the common folk. We are all created by heaven; the Niranni are in themselves since our birth after being carved from the clay under the hills of Ishkerr in ancient times, are as much children of the gods as any emperor or king is. It is for this reason, that we, the people of Nirann, declare that the monarchs are to be overthrown and a meritocratic state under the people is to be established.
Signed Below, are those initiating the rebellion in order to establish a pure state under the watch of heaven..."

Consequences

As a result of this document, the people of the continent began the War of Dethronement which engulfed the lands of Nirann, causing the city of Ornemere to be propelled into the continent's premier major naval power. At the same time, the chaos allowed the Essukad and Ataraad to get a foothold in the Sitala region as well as invading the delta for the first time.
Influence from the document was felt elsewhere as news of the rebellions traveled all around, and Marin slaves in Orazhnavel began a revolt that was soon crushed.
