The Isshilu Dynasty of the Great Kingdom of Inghara
Overview
The Isshilu dynasty was a great state of the Niranni, existing thousands of years ago, The Ingharans were an ethnic group from the Gendur valley who would later turn into the Tsennari people of the modern day. It is said that this dynasty was the most connected to all things spiritual, and that they relied heavily on magic. The dynasty was founded by a legendary figure known as Usorring, who led his people to prosperity.Etymology
The Kingdom of Inghara, or the Great Isshilu Dynasty, was the Dynasty created by a man named Usorring Isshilu. The name Isshilu comes from his name, but the regional name Inghara is of more mysterious origins. Tradition states that Inghara means "Realm of Thunder," in Old Ingharan. Scholars have surmised that the Inghara is related to Inara, Tsennari for Lightning. The name Inghara was common due to the fact that Usorring claimed legitimacy as a warrior for the god Ishen; his line may have originally been called Inghahari but was likely changed by his heir to Isshilu. Others yet claim that Inghara originally meant something like "Favored by the Gods" or "Favored Blossoms."History
The Ingharans originated in the Gendur (Then Ingharan) valley, north of the modern city of Ornemere. Their civilization started with the Ahai dynasty, before moving to the N'hari, Susiing, Tsaanha, Daiilin, Isshilu, and other dynasties. The most important of these dynasties was that of the Isshilu dynasty under Usorring, who is considered the greatest Ingharan warrior. Usorring is said to of defeated various challenges such as witherances and enemy kingdoms. His dynasty lasted for a few hundred years before eventually being being overthrown by other dynasties as Usorring had done to the Daiilin dynasty. Eventually, after several generations the dynasties would fall into smaller and smaller pieces due to dukes seizing more and more land. It is said the last of the great Ingharan strongholds was that of Kiveanna, it's legend goes as follows:The Empire of Aremi was rising, an Ingharan people that stood in contrast to the barbaric tribes and the states ruled by the corrupt old Ingharan nobility and clergy. Over time all would fall to the new realm.
The last of the old Ingharan remnants stood their ground on their mountain fortress city that was defended by some of the best mages, harsh winds, and blizzards; however, the Ilsairi were determined to conquer this last holdout. Two legendary warriors were assigned the task of capturing the city. These men snuck into the fortress and discovered all of their prisoners had been executed by the Ingharans. The warriors were enraged and fought their way to the gate to open it. With hundreds of Ilsairi troops rushing in and hearing the news, the first of the Nights of Sorrow began. For the next few days, the last Ingharan city of Kiveanna was ransacked while the inhabitants were killed. At the end, the city was burnt and destroyed. Eventually it became the home of Idras, a dragon who once served the Emperors of the Ilsairi.Meru an Sulsoraj, Historian
