Overview

The Golden Pavillion is one of the most important buildings in all of Mivamo, it is a golden tower located in the center of town where market stalls form all around to sell goods. The people of Mivamo often hold celebrations there every year that cause a variety of joyful feelings among the children especially.

History

The Pavillion was created in the 300s at the behest of the reigning emperor Sumehuua, as apart of his policy of investing in the development of cities. The pavillion was painted a golden color with black tile rooves, hence the name golden pavillion. During the shattering, the pavillion was destroyed by a fire until being rebuilt as a three story structure in the 1100s. It was initially only two stories tall, it was upgraded to three and eventually four by the 1500s as it was rebuilt and rennovated. Standing proudly at the center of town, it represents the high ambitions of the people of the city.

Events at the Pavillion

Soraki
During the Nirann-wide Soraki festival dedicated to the spirits of the deas, the golden pavillion's guards fire off fireworks and light lanterns in order to try and lead good spirits to the city. The top of the tower is outfitted with a massive Ischurri style drum that is used to conduct the Ischurri style dances of the town, despite the fact it is Soranni largely.
Junaza
Childsday is a local festival dedicated to the well being of the children and cultivating the youth. On this day, toymakers and sweetsellers surround the pavillion with cheap goods to sell, and some even give away to the less forunate.
Faiza
On lucksday, the pavillion is where children climb to the top and write wishes on leaves or colored paper which is collected in baskets. The children around noon throw them from the highest floor with the town governor, wishing for good luck upon all the people.
