BACKGROUND: The hobgoblin introduces himself as Oudman, who they met in disguise during there last visit to the village. He is a refugee from the east that was saved by Sabyn and brought for his skill with alchemy and solutions. He regrettably doesn't remember much of himself before his imprisonment, but seems extremely proud of his skill in 'healing' the ills of this township, and seems to speak more than highly of and always in the defense of Sabyn.

Personal history
oudmans personal history is short as far as he knows. once a proud shaman for his tribe, he was captured as an oddity for a wizard in red robes, studied for his magic, prodded and even experimented on. one such experiment was feeding him the water from the river styx to observe and study its effects. this robbed him of all his knowledge of the world and his past, but in turn occasionally grants him flashbacks from past the lives his sole has journeyed on.
Basically a blank slate now, he's not considered a threat anymore so he was tucked away in the basement of the wizards library, left to tend things and nearly forgotten about.
it was quiet for along time, affording oudman the time to study the library, the arcane and its connecting interactions with the material plain.
enters the most beautiful woman oudman has ever seen( the only one ) sabien , a priestess of ilmater was here to tell him the good news and the word of ilmater , occasionally she would visit the master pleading for him to join her for the true war is coming, annoyed by this proselytizer he refuses insults her and she is thrown out while saying that he will regret this
(insert fallen trees revenge) un noticed by oudman sleeping in the basement of the library
sabein returns to get something from his library knowing the keep was slaughtered
