Yoshi

Basic Information

Anatomy

Large bird that can't fly. It is over 2 and a half meters high. They have small to no wings. Their legs are plump and large. It comes to no surprise that they walk to get were ever they want to go.

Genetics and Reproduction

A female lays over 5 eggs in her lifetime, and all of them hedge. One when she just enters her maturity and her last one just before her death.   The chicks are raised by the father, just like with another ground bird we know in our world. This so that the chick will not starve when the mother passes away.

Ecology and Habitats

The Yoshi's are found in the caverns, near small villagers and farms. In the mountain kingdom Yogon. But thy can also be found on the mountains.

Dietary Needs and Habits

The Yoshi's are carnivores and hunt all kinds of prey. People inside Yogon are caring weapons to protect themselves. But this those not always work.

Behaviour

They are territorial, which makes them even more dangerous. Also, once mad, they will not give up the chaise, even when it takes days.  
What, do you mean. That over grown chick is still passing up and down the walls. I crossed paths with it a week ago!

They are large but also fast, a yoshi's speed can go to 130 km/h. Yep as fast as our worldly cheetah.

Body Tint, Colouring and Marking
All Yoshi's have green feathers, and red scales on the neck.   The humans who come from our side of the mirror, named this bird Yoshi because of the color. It had a name before that, but that name got lost in time.
