Astarion Comets
The last remaining ethnicity of dark elves on Mirthae, they’re nomads who came from separate ethnicities and merged into one for survival. All other dark elves who aren’t Astarion Comets belong to mainstream ethnic groups, mostly Fzaldenz or Jyalben. Most people in this ethnic group had ancestors that stemmed back all the way to the beginning of the planet, a few from even when moon elves were living on the moon.

Culture
Culture and cultural heritage
Everyone part of this ethnic group shares majorly different cultures, but there’s one constant for it; their persecution leading them to come together.
Common Etiquette rules
It’s considered impolite to face someone head-on when there’s a problem. It’s expected that whatever problem there is, it can be settled in private away from everyone.
Common Dress code
Men, women, and intersex folk are expected to dress in such a way to signal their sex. Men wear bright colours, women wear patterns with muted colours, and intersex folk with bright colours with patterns.
Foods & Cuisine
Their food is quite flexible as they love to enjoy cuisines from other cultures; but their own tends to be rather simple when they’re on the move to preserve ingredients.
Common Customs, traditions and rituals
They perform regular rituals for various activities; like eating, hunting, celebrations, sleeping, and dating.
Coming of Age Rites
Children are considered adults when they’re able to provide for others in some fashion; whether it be food, clothes, entertainment, etc…
Many who know of the Astarion Comets believe that some elves are simply considered kids as adults, but it’s not the case whatsoever. Even if someone has no skills whatsoever, they view simply existing in the same area as one another as entertainment.
Funerary and Memorial customs
Like all moon elves, their bodies disintegrate into seeds. Because of this, they view it as selfish to let their seeds be planted in the group to merely serve Merthicz in death as plants, so they have various methods of making it impossible to grow. Either turning them to ash or cooked in food are the two most common ways.
Common Myths and Legends
They believe in Yuvahn, a Sun god who existed long before Lady Merthicz. One of the biggest myths they believe is that before ivierae existed, the planet was flooded with lava caused by Merthicz.
Ideals
Beauty Ideals
Because of their rejection of Merthicz, they view anything different from regular moon elves as being most attractive. If they haven’t been turned into some kind of creature they’ll often go for extreme body mods to make them more alien or demon-like. Horns, scars, and tattooing eyes are the most attractive things to get. They’re actually the only group on the entire planet able to tattoo eyes without the risk of long term issues. Many even go through the process of tattooing their entire body back to its original skin colour in defiance of being turned blue.
Gender Ideals
They don’t really have a concept of gender, but if asked they may say that they believe gender to be biological, by what parts you have and may try to get. For this reason they mainly recognise man and woman, but understand well that there’s no binary in sex and don’t judge when someone chooses a certain way to identify.
Courtship Ideals
They look at stars to choose who they court, following a complex astrology system separate from the Mirthaean Astrology. It’s not so much set in stone in which they date, but they view it as a guide in who to go for and what approach they take to court someone. It’s not uncommon to see someone walk straight up and ask to date even if you’re strangers.
Relationship Ideals
They view relationships of all kinds as being a 50-50 effort in an equitable sense, meaning each part that someone plays should be given at their best capacity according to their needs. They often stick in high numbers because of this, especially when dating.
