Alone in your thoughts,
Surviving the drought,
But beware the thirst.
You’re not the only breath,
Howling from the brink of death.
Deep in the caverns,
Tangled webs of fervour,
Drive beasts to seek out their next meal.
Pay attention to your morals,
For the eight-legged men are not inconsequential.
Their breath may be just behind you.
