In English the name of the crystal means “Melody of Frozen Dreams”. It has magical properties allowing it to freeze people in place when they gaze upon it. It’s very rare, and usually only is found underground or in ruins.

Properties

Material Characteristics

Looking at it it seems like a solid but with plasma inside, though to the touch it has more of a harder jelly consistency with static buildup.

Physical & Chemical Properties

Soothingly warm to the touch, though the air around it is surprisingly cold. Can be dissolved in water like Rochelle salt; though it requires purified water.

Geology & Geography

Mostly found underground, or in ruins. rarely enough it can even appear in wine barrels if left near a source of the crystals. Crystals grown this way have a less potent magical affect and is mostly used for medicine or food as a way to flaunt wealth.

Life & Expiration

As long as there’s a stable source of magical power nearby it will never deteriorate. It would basically have to leave the planet for it to expire.

History & Usage

History

It’s known that in many moon elf villages they often use the crystals as a form of prison, as those trapped in it’s influence are stuck in a magical time stasis where most things can’t move/harm them. Moon and dark elves are the only elves known to be able to fully resist the crystals.

Everyday use

Mostly used in medicine, though is very rare to come across. Often used for sedation, inducing sleep, temporarily freezing someone, or even reducing the feeling of pain. When grown from wine barrels it’s largely used as common table salt.

Cultural Significance and Usage

Most often used in combination with weapons to give the wielder a striking advantage. It’s outlawed all throughout Mirthae for this use and thus can only be found in the black market, or from high-end merchants from Hell.

Refinement

It can be used in it’s found state, though to be used as food it needs to be dissolved by purified water with crystals grown from wine barrels.

Byproducts & Sideproducts

Wine affected by the growth of the crystals becomes a strong opioid.

Hazards

Those improperly trained to handle the crystals can very easily fall for its effects. It’s especially dangerous when handled in medicine and food as it’s easy to mess up what type of crystal you’re using, as well as messing up needed proportions due to how little research has been done on it.

Environmental Impact

If left in the wrong environment it’ll keep any living thing stuck in its grasp, including plant life. The brighter the environment, the wider range it can affect others.

Distribution

Storage

As long as you can hide all light emitting from the crystals it’s pretty easy to store. Non-reflective and thick fabrics can often do the trick.

Law & Regulation

The usage of the crystals is heavily regulated, so much so that the average citizen is unable to possess one.
