Self Portrait of a Missing Peace
Between stiff tides of oil,
I felt stuck in outer turmoil.
Mesmerising displays of melancholy,
Forever etched between threads of personhood.
A once in a lifetime moment-
To be silliedly incoherent.
History
The portrait was painted by Eilis. He’s always had a love for painting, but constantly only being allowed to create life-like recreations of the living world bored him to no end. One day he was annoyed when trying to paint Highking Œnta’s portrait, so he took a break and just decided to try something more abstract for fun. It turned into a self portrait- a piece to vent his frustrations with his place in life.
