Star Lake

Star Lake is a village independent from the global Mirthaean kingdom, also known as the smallest kingdom in the world. A famous location known for its' star shaped lake in the centre of the village said to grant healing. It's also the only known location not hidden from public that has a dominant moon elf population.

Demographics

99.9% of permanent residents are moon elves, and .1% are ivierae. Only 5% are tourists or passerbys, mostly comprising of humans and ivierae, and partially orcs.

Government

Their government is comprised of a council of twenty people, all being the village's smartest residents, decided by Lady Merthicz herself.

Defences

Every resident is trained to use their magical abilities to defend themselves. They have no official armies, especially as they've never gotten into violent conflicts with anyone.

Industry & Trade

Everyone who has the ability to some type of job is expected to work their dream jobs. This has helped them as because they worship the Goddess of fate, she ensures there will always be enough artists, farmers, government workers, bakers, tailors, etc...

Infrastructure

Some areas have dirt roads for horse carriages to travel on, but they're non existent by the residents, and especially the lake itself. Aqueducts run from the nearest rivers, and even the ocean (which has magical charms on it to purify to make it safe to drink).

History

When Merthicz first came to Mirthae, she accidentally created a star shaped crater. She hid it by filling it with water and pretended it was naturally occurring when moon elves first discovered the area. She had that band of elves settle there as she saw the potential to make a great settlement. She laid down the laws of the land, and for a while after the Iveriae-Human war was going she banned outsiders from coming in, until Highking Ånøy and his troop discovered the settlement and was swayed by the elves to stop the war.

Tourism

Tourism is heavily regulated so as to prevent overcrowding and disrespect to the culture. Those who are privileged enough to go are usually the most open minded people (Highking Gyala is the first Highking since the late Yøn to visit the village. Most people will exclaim they're most excited for the lake itself, as it can heal broken minds and broken bones. However many love to visit for how wildlife has grown, and to learn more about the culture of a race that isn't very present in most areas.

Architecture

Every building is made with different materials depending on its use. Wood (straight from the trees) is used for religious and government buildings, fallen twigs and branches for mercantile purposes, and mud with fallen twigs for homes.

Geography

Aside for areas with buildings and farm land, it's mostly hills with a crazy amount of trees and one of the largest varieties of flora and fauna.
